Learn how to recover from trauma, overcome your challenges, and take charge of your own personal growth.

All of us have issues. We all have experienced trauma, tragedy, and disappointments of one kind or another. And more importantly, we all have the capacity to learn, heal, grow, and become happier and more fulfilled.

Unfortunately, the path to living a happier and more fulfilled life has traditionally been difficult for most people to walk.

I’m Dr. Eric Wolterstorff. As a professional psychotherapist and trainer of therapists for 30 years, I know well that the right therapeutic method can have a transformational effect on someone’s life.

Unfortunately, finding a good therapist who is versed in the best therapeutic approach for you is not always easy... or affordable... or compatible with your demanding schedule.

And as for the self-help industry, there are so many books, workshops, videos, courses, and retreats – all striving to offer a unique approach to personal growth – that finding the right one for you can be like looking for the perfect grain of sand at Daytona Beach.

Of course, many of these resources are wonderful. But sooner or later, most people on the path of personal improvement will plateau because they cannot find the thing that will help them overcome a particular stumbling block or transition to the next stage of growth.

Luckily, that doesn’t have to be the case. I know because much of my work in training therapists has been to take the most effective therapeutic methods and systematize them, so that professionals become better at using the right technique for each client at whatever stage they are at in their journey.

This is important because most therapists specialize in one approach or another. Some practice trauma recovery, others attachment therapy, others spiritual counseling, family dynamics or process work. You can find practitioners of many forms of psychoanalysis. And whichever method a therapist is trained in or prefers will be the one they tend to use with each client. They may simply not realize that a different approach would yield faster gains (and at a lower cost to the client).

What’s more, I know many people simply can’t afford the time and money needed to work one-on-one with a therapist. They need something that can help them take charge of their own growth and healing – something that will point them to the best methods, taking into account their unique issues and history.

Our purpose here is to fill this gap – to provide you with the tools you can use to resolve issues related to your history and build a happier and more fulfilling life in the present.

The starting point will be a series of inexpensive guides to help individuals heal and recover from life-threatening trauma, since such traumas often must be healed before other personal growth can happen.

Soon, we will be adding other guides to address other types of issues and challenges people typically face as they endeavor to create a happier and more fulfilling life.

All our work here is based on my unique six-tiered model of psychosocial development, which will make it easy for you to recognize your most pressing issues and what steps you can take to grow beyond them. We will soon be adding a self-diagnostic tool that anyone can use.

You’ve probably heard the quote from Lao Tzu that “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” While that’s true, we would say that “The journey to happiness and fulfillment has only six stages. And once you know your starting point, it becomes considerably shorter.”
